Leading Better Meetings
How do managers and team leaders host better meetings? Clearconvene combines meeting feedback with advice and resources to help promote constructive teamwork and cut back on meetings that could have been an email. To launch his new idea into the agile and management communities, the founder of Clearconvene organized a team to create an MVP in six weeks that would be ready to present at a convention.
The three-person team included the founder, a skilled programmer, and myself as UX/UI designer. I worked closely with both other team members to establish user flow, necessary features, and create an functional MVP that could be presented to hundreds.
First Steps
Product goals:
meeting leaders will create list of meetings to be rated
meeting attendees will be able to rate meetings and provide quantifiable feedback

final iteration
Ideation and Planning
Once the flow and number of pages was established, I created a mini design system with colors, measurements, and essential UI components. Wireframes of the six pages (plus one overlay) were flexibly iterated as they were created.
Initial plans included a page to create a link that could be shared with attendees to a star-based rating system. Users would then see their Meeting rating average on their meeting reviews page. Further discussions introduced additional elements and features such as the inclusion of a multiple-choice feedback survey for less an a five-star rating; an all-user average to provide a comparison point for users and push them to access coaching if their score doesn’t measure up; improvement tips for subpar scores; and a few pop-up or layover items to provide additional information to users as needed.
A feedback feature was added to some pages to allow quick feedback from users during the MVP testing and initial launch.

First Round of Testing
Final Results
After initial testing, high-fidelity wireframes were created for the convention. Company colors were included in side blocks to encourage brand recognition.
At the Convention
Clearconvene was well-received at the Agile and management convention. The straightforward design was easy for testers to follow, and convention-goers liked to the option to connect with coaching to learn leadership skills.
Further Development
Final discussions with the founder centered around potential new features, including short-answer feedback, hiring coaches through the site, and creating accounts.
